Cone beam CT scanner

This was a short experiment in cone-beam CT reconstruction. I built a scanner from craigslist parts, which was capable of reconstructing a package of hot dogs with only 60 milli-roentgens of radiation, far less than what you’d need from a modern commercial CT scanner.

  1. How do you capture the x ray image? Did you use the intensifying screen? I only saw a white screen in day light, I don’t think you can capture the intensified light as the sun light is much brighter.
